Safeline is a charitable organisation which was originally established in 1994 by women who were themselves sexually abused as children. The
Objects of Safeline are
to relieve suffering and advance education amongst people
experiencing the after effects of the trauma of rape and
sexual abuse, without distinction of gender, sexual orientation,
race, colour or of political, religious or other opinions. The Aims of Safeline:
Our services are
available for women, men, and young people also for partners,
carers, parents and anyone who has been affected by the
trauma of childhood sexual abuse or rape. Our
services are available throughout Warwickshire and Coventry. Sexual Abuse is not something new it has gone on for generation upon generation and has been pushed ‘under the carpet’ for many years. Many
survivors have suffered since they were children, wondering
who can they tell? and will they be believed?
If you have experienced any of these feelings and would like to talk to someone who won’t judge you but will listen and believe then you can contact Safeline on 01926 408315 during office hours to speak to a trained member of staff. Alternatively, call our Freephone Helpline 0808 800 5005 during weekday evenings and speak to one of our trained volunteers. You can talk to them in confidence, arrange an appointment to come in and see us or they can put you in touch with a network of services if you live outside of our area.
